What is involved:
Pregnancy -
* How it impacts the mum's body, health & her exercise
* How to program exercise for the pregnant women around any contraindicators and pain
* How the pelvic floor muscles are impacted
* Things to look out for during her training with you
Postnatal -
* How childbirth can impact (injure) the body
* Easing your clients back to exercise after childbirth safely and effectively
* How pelvic floor muscles are impacted with various types of pelvic floor dysfunction like prolapse & incontinence
* Diastasis recti (ab separation), what it is, how to improve and avoid worsening it during exercise
* How to activate the deep core muscles well during exercise and postnatal care
* Details on doming, coning, what to avoid, what is OK, and improve it
* Confidently training how to: Coach Lifting heavy weights, High impact exercise, exercising with prolapse or pelvic floor dysfunction
* Adapting exercise programming around hormone changes through pregnancy, the cycle, postnatal, breastfeeding and beyond
* Working with Allied Health professionals as part of a team
Discussions & hands on practical time: covering various challenging issues and exercises around carpal tunnel, pubic symphysis, diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction and great alternatives for women of all ages and stages of life.
At the completion of this course you'll have a greater understanding of your female clients.
You'll also have hands on practical steps to implement into your training and business straight away.
