Neighbourhood Doulas (ND) is a grassroots charity run by a small team of just two full-time, and one part-time coordinator.

Our supporting team of 20+ doulas work in 24 hospitals across London providing free birth education and birth support to vulnerable and at-risk pregnant women. This includes those without a birth partner, those who cannot afford a private doula, and those dealing with additional challenges such as historical or perinatal mental health issues, racial or socioeconomic marginalisation, or previous trauma such as domestic violence.

We believe no one should face childbirth alone while homeless, destitute, isolated, fearful, or in pain.

ND's coordinators work tirelessly to make sure every pregnant women referred to use feels safe, secure, and supported during pregnancy.

We are committed to welcoming each baby warmly into this world and ensuring that new parents receive the support they need from pregnancy through the postnatal period, but we are over subscribed, under funded, and work at full-capacity for most of the year, sometimes without wages.

Every donation made to our GoFundMe campaign helps ND coordinators to sustain our free work for the pregnant women we serve.

Please consider donating if you can, or share our link or QR code. Every pound makes a big difference.

Thank you for your support.
