No matter what level your writing is at, it can always get better, right?This 6-week workshop aims to do precisely that, take the language of your poetry to the next level, wherever it is right now. We’ll delve into why you write and who your audience(s) might be (including yourself).
Using both existing work and pieces we write in class, we’ll explore new ways to look at and reexamine the words that you use, and work toward a fearlessness and confidence in editing for the best possible language.
Our tools will include the magic and music of words, sturdy old dictionaries, your intuition, and each other to bring out the purpose and meaning of your work. Our goal will be to leave you the resources to transform your poetry and a compass to take you further.
