Let's rehearse, share kai and socialise as we prepare for our Roda de Samba before CubaDupa weekend!Schedule:
6:00pm - arrive and setup
6:30pm - samba
8:30pm(ish) - break & kai time
9:30pm - play some more
11:00pm - leave hall after cleanup
We're so grateful that da Embaixada do Brasil has been hosting rehearsals, and that Wellington Batucada has lent their PA gear for previous rodas at no charge. Muito obrigada to both.
While this rehearsal is free to attend, we invite all our study group friends to provide koha. This is to cover community centre hall hire plus a sound tech for our pre-CubaDupa roda at the Southern Cross.
SUGGESTED KOHA is $15 which can be deposited here:

BYO DRINKS & SHARED KAI (supper/snacks). There is a well-equipped kitchen you can use to heat/chill your kai.
A few other notes:
- BYO extension cables & multi-plugs if you need power.
- There isn't a projector or screen in the hall, so bring a device or printouts if you need music / lyrics.
- Free street parking on Harrison Street, plus a small parking lot outside the centre (please angle park so we can safely fit as many as possible in here).
- Community centre is kid-friendly. It has an off-street playground and a space that can be used for ball sports (shooting hoops, football).
