Pre-Clinical OSCE Teaching: Session 6 - Cardiovascular Examination

1. Be able to perform a full cardiovascular examination.
2. Know the expected normal signs at each stage (e.g. S1, S2 heart sounds).
3. Recognise abnormal signs and their possible causes (e.g. murmurs, raised JVP, oedema).
4. Apply the 7 Cs and maintain patient comfort and dignity.
5. Answer questions related to the cardiovascular examination.
6. Practice applying the cardiovascular examination in relation to realistic CCA scenarios - including in hybrid stations.
