For those on the island the evening before the Avalon Ball, may we suggest going out on the town, meeting old friends and making new ones, having cocktails or supper at any number of places, and spending the evening in a beautiful place in the best of company. In the past there were just too many of us for any one Avalon establishment to accommodate, so you might want to sample the island's watering holes in a "crawl."
You can arrange a rendezvous with others, or just show up at the centrally located Avalon Grille, see who's around and fan out from there.
Reservations are advisable at the Avalon Grille, the Bluewater and the other more formal restaurants around town.

This upscale restaurant and bar is centrally located across from the Green Pier, and is a good place to rendezvous with friends. You can settle in there or set out to explore.

An upscale bar and restaurant overlooking the water. It’s actually located on what remains of the pier where the Catalina steamers used to dock, bringing people to dance at the Casino.
