Paul Rogers, a long standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye and coordinator of our Exeter Sakya Buddhist Group, will lead this day of study and reflection on the ‘Six Perfections’: giving, morality, patience, effort, meditation and wisdom. These six practices embody the bodhicitta of the Mahayana path, bodhichitta being the wish to become enlightened for benefit of all beings. Each session will involve sitting meditation, listening to a section of the teaching, and time for reflection and questions.
This event is ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the Buddhist path and how to practise the teachings in everyday life.
The day will be divided into four one hour sessions: 10.30-11.30am, 12.00-1.00pm, 2.00-3.00pm, 3.30-4.30pm. Please arrive by 10.15am for a 10.30am start.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring some lunch (to share if you wish).
