COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT: Practical Aspects of PEER Support and Officer Wellness COURSE DESCRIPTION: TD Forensics LLC and training partners are offering a comprehensive Peer Support and Officer Wellness class for First Responders covering a wide range of topics.
This comprehensive multidisciplinary team of presenters will provide class participants with information on how to create and implement a Peer Support Team on both a state and regional levels.
The information provided will also address the following: Implementing and running a peer team both locally and regionally, how to support peer team members on the team individually, and most importantly, how to sustain a Peer Support Team over time.
Information on ethical concerns, agency concerns, and legal concerns will also be addressed. Lastly, this training will cover the topics of individual wellness and an overview of mental health as it pertains to Peer Support Teams and First Responders: Resiliency and sustainability for individuals and teams.
Officers successfully completing this seminar will receive 18 POST Review Training Credits in the 400 area. Class Cost is $200 per participant for the 3-day class. Classes are limited to 50 participants to allow for a rich, informative, and interactive experience.
The training will be held on the following dates / locations (please choose one):
• April 17-19, 2024 (8am-3pm) @ 165 Capital Ave., Hartford
• July 24-26, 2024 (8am-3pm) @ Southern CT State University, New Haven.
• October 23-25, 2024 (8am-3pm) @ Foxwoods Mashantucket Pequot Public Safety Building.
Participants will be provided with an updated manual and an updated workbook to utilize: Both in class and to reference following completion of the class.
