Join us for a joyful, family-friendly event celebrating Indigenous culture through Youth Powwow dance performances and hands-on craft activities for children.
This interactive preview event invites families to learn about Powwow traditions in a welcoming, playful environment while helping spread the word about the University of Iowa’s 29th Annual Powwow, hosted by the Native American Student Association (NASA) this April.
There will be two thirty-minute performances, taking place at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Children will have the opportunity to engage with culture through movement, creativity, and community in a space designed for young learners and families. All performances and activities are included with museum admission.
