About this Event
You know that thing you love so much it's on your mind 24/7 and all you wanna talk about? Or the collection you've been building for years? Or the feeling you've never quite been able to explain but you reckon 7 minutes and a room of strangers might help? This is a space for that.
Powerpoint night is a laid-back, come-as-you-are evening where people share something that matters to them in whatever format makes sense to them. There's no competition, no judgment, no right way to do it. Just a room full of people genuinely curious about what you're into.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING aka anything. But here's some ideas:
• A PowerPoint, Canva, or Google Slides presentation
• A physical collection or show and tell
• An object with a story
• Something you made
• A live performance - music, movement, interpretive dance, spoken word
• Pure, unstructured vibes
You get 7 minutes. When the time's up, I will let you know (there may be a bell involved - details TBC).
🌈 WHO THIS IS FOR
Everyone. But especially if you've ever felt like your interests are too niche, too much, or hard to explain, you're going to fit in perfectly here. And we can't wait to learn some cool and interesting things from you.
Presenting and watching are equally valid ways to spend the evening. Come with your thing, or come to witness other people's things. Both are wonderful. No performance experience needed. No polished slides required. No masking necessary.
Just bring yourself and whatever piece of your world you feel like sharing. I'll bring the snacks but you are welcome to BYO if you have specific favs or allergies etc.
Community agreement
Pronouns are respected. Use the pronouns people share for themselves. If you're unsure, ask kindly or use they/them until you know.
All identities are honoured. Every gender identity, sexual orientation, and expression is valid and celebrated in this space.
Discriminatory language, behaviour, or attitudes, whether intentional or not, will be addressed by organisers.

If you are not able to respect the identities, pronouns, and dignity of every person present, we ask that you do not attend. Anyone who does not uphold this community agreement will be asked to leave - no exceptions.
