About this Event
Are you looking for pointers on how to shoot better hockey pictures? Need help with how to approach capturing a hockey game for the first time or how to improve your sports photography business? Do you think it's intimidating or too fast? Let me walk you through my tips and tricks from capturing hockey over the years.
We will discuss how to approach a kids' hockey game and share my struggles in the beginning. My years of playing, coaching, and photographing this great sport will help fast-track your confidence at your next game.
What we will cover: Ice Rinks, where to shoot from diagrams, shooting through glass, player angles, off-ice pictures, struggles, and inspiration.
I started out learning by watching as much YouTube as I could, taking notes from other sports photographers, learning new techniques, and then adapting them to hockey.
My photography journey started in 2017, when I shot baseball as a hobbyist, then focused on hockey, and now I work for the Hockey Hall of Fame out of Toronto, capturing NHL, AHL, ECHL, USHL, NCAA, PWHL, and youth hockey all over Illinois.
