About this Event

The Power Moves Chess class is designed for kids ages 6–16 who already know how the pieces move and are ready to level up their game. In this engaging and structured program, students will build on their foundation by learning: Opening principles — develop pieces effectively and control the board Tactical patterns — forks, pins, skewers, and more Strategic thinking — planning moves and understanding the “why” behind them Game confidence — applying new skills through practice and guided play With fun lessons, interactive activities, and plenty of hands-on chess time, this class helps students improve faster while keeping the experience supportive and exciting.
