Power Hour is a space for connection, learning, and community—hosted in collaboration with United Way of the Greater Triangle (UWGT) and Duke Energy. Each session features a guest speaker who will share insights on topics relevant to nonprofit leadership and impact.

How to Own Your Career in a Changing Work Landscape:Considerations for Today's Professionals & People Leaders

Own Your Career in a Changing World of Work is an interactive, reflection-driven session led by Reimagine Talent to help professionals take ownership of their career in a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by technology, shifting workforce dynamics, and changing expectations.

Participants explore the forces influencing today’s world of work, gain clarity on what they can control, and build practical strategies to grow with intention. The session focuses on three high-impact areas: lifelong learning, career agility, and relationships, equipping participants to navigate change, expand opportunities, and drive their own career momentum with confidence.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Assess the evolving world of work and define success for their career based on strengths and emerging opportunities
  • Apply three core career strategies—learning, agility, and relationships—to strengthen adaptability and growth
  • Focus on what they can control, taking ownership of their development, performance, and visibility
  • Strengthen their network of influence to unlock opportunities, insights, and support
  • Build a clear, personalized action plan with 2–3 priorities to implement over the next 90 days
