Power BI 201 is an advanced, hands-on course designed for users who already understand the fundamentals of Power BI and are ready to elevate their analytical capabilities. This course focuses on building robust data models, writing advanced DAX measures, optimizing performance, and delivering insight-driven dashboards for decision-makers.
Participants will move beyond basic visualizations to explore how Power BI supports complex analysis, scalable reporting, and enterprise-level best practices. Through guided builds and real-world scenarios, learners will strengthen their ability to turn data into actionable intelligence.
In this course, participants will learn how to:
- Design and optimize relational data models for accuracy and performance
- Write advanced DAX measures, including time intelligence and calculated tables
- Implement advanced data transformations using Power Query
- Build dynamic, interactive dashboards using advanced visuals and drill-through features
- Apply row-level security (RLS) to control data access
- Optimize reports for performance, usability, and executive storytelling
- Troubleshoot common modeling, DAX, and performance issues
Recommended Prerequisite:
Completion of Power BI 101 or equivalent hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop.
By the end of this course, participants will be equipped to develop advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that support strategic, data-driven decision-making across their organization.
