This introductory course is designed to equip you with the fundamental skills needed to harness the power of Power BI. You'll learn how to:
- Connect to Data Sources: Explore various data sources, including Excel, SharePoint, and more.
- Prepare Data for Analysis: Transform and clean your data to ensure it's ready for visualization.
- Build Interactive Visualizations: Create compelling charts, graphs, and other visual elements to uncover insights.
- Develop a Power BI Project: Learn the best practices for organizing and managing your Power BI projects.
- Troubleshoot Common Issues: Gain practical problem-solving techniques to overcome challenges.
- Participate in Open Discussions: Share experiences and learn from fellow attendees.
By the end of this workshop, you'll be able to create basic Power BI reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:To get the most out of this course, participants should prepare in the following way:
- Install Power BI Desktop on your laptop, allowing you to practice hands-on during the workshop.
- Bring your own sample dataset - have a dataset (e.g., Microsoft Lists, SharePoint data, or Outlook calendar data) to apply the course concepts to your specific data.
