A one-day symposium to discuss research and practices of visualising secrecy and power from academic and artistic perspectives.

This event is for UAL staff and students only, a valid UAL ID card will be needed to enter the site and attend.

This is a one-day symposium, co-hosted with SPIN (Secrecy, Power, Ignorance Network) from Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter universities, drawing together visual artist, academics and practitioners to explore and discuss the latest research and practices of visualising secrecy and power.

The day will involve an interplay of academic research and art practice, raising questions of how different disciplinary approaches and methods transverse, intersect and extend our capacity to create, represent, imagine and share unique insights into systems of power and resistance, especially in connection with covering, containing, obscuring, making and other visual ways that secrecy is made and contested.
