Learn the basics for hand-building with clay in our taster workshop!
Don't have time for weeks of pottery or just not sure if it's right for you?
Then come along, relax and enjoy the flexibility in making your creations with the guidance of our tutor. This two-hour workshop is based on experimenting with primitive and traditional methods by using the selected themed workshop technique. This allows for more freedom to create anything you like within the guidelines of using the clay that is given.
Perfect for a novice potter, the focus will be on textures and developing ideas while experimenting with the pinch, slab or coiling techniques.

Sung Hwan is a Tāmaki Makaurau-based artist who has been working with ceramics and performance since 2016. With many accolades under his belt, we are super excited to have him as our guest tutor for the month of October!
Your handmade piece will be bisque & glaze fired and ready for pick up at a later date.
