This one day course will take you through all three popular hand-building pottery techniques (ie: coiling, slab building and pinching) PLUS you will have a taster session throwing a pot on one of our potters wheels giving you an excellent, all round introduction to pottery.During the day you will make either a ‘coiled’ fairy house, bowl, dish, pot or planter, ‘pinch’ a set of little dishes, cup, gonk, sculpture or bird, then you will build a slabbed vase, jug or mug and finally, you will centre and throw your very own pot on a wheel.
All of the pieces made during the day will be dried, fired then available for collection approximately two weeks later. If you would like to glaze your work, simply join any drop-in general session at the studio (charged per session).
