Been a while since we did a pot luck.... this one will be weather dependent obviously. (I'll keep an eye on the weather closer to the time, but as it's July we can be hopeful.)
🥟🥙Bring along a dish to share.... am sure it goes without saying, please make sure it is vegan.
🧺This will be picnic style, so will need to be fine eaten cold/ as is.
Bring along your own cutlery / plate/ container to eat with / from and any 'serving' implements needed. Feel free to bring a picnic blanket if you'd like.
☕️🧃🍻 Bring your own drinks. Alcohol/ soft drinks are fine, whatever you prefer. There was a coffee van in the park, but I think it may no longer be there, but will try and confirm closer to the time.
🐕 well behaved dogs are welcome
👧 There are plenty of family friendly events, so we'll keep this one as adults only please.
📍Eastville Park, somewhere near the old swimming pool garden, I'll note a more specific location closer to the time, and on the day.
Practicalities:
🚾There are public toilets in the park
🚲 cycle parking in various places around the park or railings
🚍on one of the main bus routes, with stops on two sides of the park.
🚗 there is on street parking in surrounding roads, no permits required
⭐️Please note this event will be run in conjunction with Bristol & West Vegetarians and Vegans Meet Up group as well, but obviously we'll specify all food must be vegan.
This event is open to everyone - and is an inclusive space! It is really an opportunity for a social event over some food. Don’t be worried if this is your first meet-up, or if you’re coming alone, everyone is welcoming!

The rules for our (regular) events are simple:
📍Please only consume vegan food at the event out of respect for others.
The event will always be in a location that is easily reachable from the city centre.
Everyone is welcome, but non-vegans should expect veganism to be a topic of conversation
🍻🍔Alcohol and food consumption is entirely optional but expect both to be consumed by others.
🌡Am sure it goes without saying, please do not come if you feel unwell out of courtesy for others.
We encourage feedback on any aspect from anyone who has anything to say or ask, please contact your host Jules in this instance. We run this event to provide a platform for vegans new and old to socialise in Bristol. We welcome anyone that wants to get involved or has a suggestion. Send one of the admins a private message if you have a special request and we will do our best to accommodate this. For example if you want to talk beforehand due to social anxiety or you want to attend but the venue lacks disabled access - we want to hear from you. We want the events to be as inclusive as possible. Likewise if you have feedback from any event, or any concerns, please raise them with Jules.
⏰During the first hour of the event, your hosts will make extra sure they introduce you to other group members (if you wish), so if you're a bit shy or unsure, we'd encourage you to attend early on, to help us facilitate this. However, this is a friendly group and hopefully everyone will make you feel welcome at whatever point you turn up! The events are usually a good mix of regulars and new people. We hope to see you there!
Most people attend this solo, so it's a great opportunity to meet new people.
