About this Event
PostPartum Art & Wellness Circle
The journey of motherhood is beautiful but can also be overwhelming. Art and wellness support combined offers a gentle, creative way to navigate the complex emotions that come with postpartum life.
Expressing yourself through art can help process feelings, find peace, and reconnect with your inner self. It's not about creating a masterpiece, but about giving yourself the space to breathe, reflect, and heal. It is also a wonderful opportunity to build a community which can make a world of difference in your mothering journey.
Join us in the first of its kind Postpartum Art & Wellness Circle, led by Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) Anjali Prajapati and local artist Zahira Sarwar. This workshop will start with an informative session on the unique challenges faced by new mothers, including an in-depth discussion on postpartum depression and overall mental wellness. This will be complemented by a reflective exercise to foster deeper understanding. Following this, participants will engage in a creative exploration designed to inspire and empower. Light refreshments and beverages will be available.
Infants 12 months and under are welcome, as we will have a designated space for littles while mothers can enjoy the workshop.
If you're a new mom or supporting someone who is, consider joining us on October 6th in exploring art therapy as a tool for emotional well-being. Sometimes, the best way to find your voice is through the stroke of a brush or the swirl of colors. ?
