About this Event
Celebrate the season with the warm, soulful sounds of Baltimore’s finest acoustic roots musicians at the 12th Annual Post-Thanksgiving Concert, featuring Ken & Brad Kolodner and Charm City Junction. This beloved hometown tradition returns to the intimate setting of the Stony Run Friends Meeting House on Saturday, November 29, now with two shows to meet the popular demand - an afternoon matinee and an evening performance. Kicking things off, the Ken & Brad Kolodner Quartet—featuring Rachel Eddy on fiddle and vocals and Alex Lacquement on bass—brings their signature blend of Old-Time, Bluegrass, and Appalachian sounds to life with a rich mix of fiddle, banjo, hammered dulcimer, mbira, and more.
The second half of the show features Charm City Junction, the high-octane acoustic roots quartet that’s been lighting up stages nationwide. With Brad Kolodner on clawhammer banjo, Patrick McAvinue on fiddle and mandolin, Sean McComiskey on button accordion, and Alex Lacquement on upright bass, their dynamic fusion of Celtic, Bluegrass, and Americana traditions delivers foot-stomping joy and musical virtuosity. The night wraps up with a rousing collaboration between both bands, full of spontaneous jams and festive surprises. It’s the perfect way to keep the Thanksgiving spirit alive—through music, connection, and Baltimore-rooted tradition.
