About this Event
Data practitioners (Data Scientists, Architects and Engineers, AI/ML Engineers and Strategists, etc) are changing the world, bringing machine learning and AI models to life, building the recommender systems that influence what we buy, watch, and listen to, and deciding how companies use the data they have about us. Our roles as data practitioners now have an impact beyond the immediate technical work we do. We believe it's time to reconsider our understanding of ourselves and our role to meet the growing influence our work has on our companies and society at large and to remain relevant as the technical aspect of our work becomes more automated. We call this the "post-technical data practitioner".
Talk 1: Post-Technical Data Practitioner (Davide Posillipo, Komebi Studio)
Talk 2: Stoic Data Scientist Framework (Rachel Berryman, Common Digital)
Speakers:
Rachel Berryman is an AI and Data Strategist based in Berlin. Rachel focuses on building responsible AI systems, primarily in the energy sector, and writes a substack on making better data solutions: commondigital.substack.com
Davide Posillipo is a Data Scientist and co-founder of Komebi Studio, a design studio dedicated to exploring the intersections between Data, AI and Design. During the last 4 years he focused on Data Engineering, Deep Learning and Machine Learning leading an R&D team for an Italian consulting company. He serves as member of the Advisory Boards of the Product-Service Systems Design (Politecnico di Milano) and Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (Università degli Studi di Milano) master degrees courses.
