About this Event
The Post Secondary - Pressure Equipment Fundamentals Seminar provides post-secondary students with an introduction to essential topics relating to the pressure equipment and pipeline industries. The topics span the entire lifecycle of pressure equipment including codes and regulations, process safety, risk management, legal considerations, design, construction, maintenance, integrity management, and retirement. We also sprinkle in historical perspectives, practical case studies, and career development strategies for early career professionals. Somehow, we manage to do this without being too boring and maybe even have some fun.
The seminar is ideally suited for students interested in pursuing a career relating to the pressure equipment and pipeline industries, or anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of these industries. Facilitation is provided by industry volunteers ranging from early-career colleagues to seasoned professionals. These guests have relevant experience and backgrounds including: Regulators, industry groups, Code Committees, educational institutions, human resources, and investigators.
Attendees should be enrolled in a post-secondary program before registering. Exceptions will be considered separately.
A Certificate of Attendance will be provided upon completion of the seminar. The seminar is sponsored by Acuren.
