𝗕𝗶𝗼
𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘇𝘆𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗵 is an artist-researcher specializing in movement improvisation and dance partnering. Her research focuses on the decision-making process, blending analytical thinking with the spontaneity that arises during improvisation. She seeks tools to navigate the complexities of improvisation, balancing control with letting go, and uses these dualities to enrich the creative process. In 2024, she completed an MA in Contemporary Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg, defending her ongoing research in movement improvisation. Katarzyna’s artistic work unfolds through residencies, workshops, and collaborations with local communities and international collaborations. She values creating new partnerships while nurturing long-term collaborations with artists and producers. Since settling in Malmö two years ago, she has increasingly rooted her practice locally. She contributes to the dance community by organizing residencies for both professionals and non-professionals, leading workshops and classes, joining local research initiatives, organizing events, and inviting international artists to Malmö to foster exchange.
𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗔. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻 is a searching soul who has danced and played with his body for as long as he can remember. With an early interest in improvisation, Benjamin joined contact improvisation as a teenager. He has worked in dance, theatre and music all his life and has been active in Yoga and Qigong. With an interest in the playful, dynamic and extremely subtle in the body, contact improvisation is always a home to come home to.
Benjamin has been teaching contact improvisation for many years as well as using partnering as part of his artistry on stage. He loves the wildness that contact improvisation can bring, but also the inner dance that happens between the breath, the spontaneous and all the invisible.
𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻 is a dance artist and teacher whose work unfolds through performance, writing, classes, workshops, and a yearly Contact Improvisation training program. She has been teaching since 2018 and is one of the driving forces behind the development of the Contact Improvisation movement in Sweden.
She currently teaches at Skånes Dansteater, Danscentrum Syd and Väst, Dansstudion No1, and Östra Grevie Folkhögskola. Since 2022, she has developed and hosted a CI training program, and since 2024 she co-organises the Sweden Contact Fest. Beyond Sweden, she has shared her work in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Lebanon, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.
Weaving a broad range of movement practices, her research explores the fragile as the solid. She creates spaces for both personal and artistic exploration — cultivating a listening body, collective presence, and poetic attention to the shared moment. Her teaching invites participants into instant composition and ensemble work by holding less, sensing more, and exploring how we can move and create together.
