Start point Heathy Lea, 10 a.m. Through the Chatsworth Estate and Baslow taking Bar Road up to Eagle Stone. Round Baslow Edge, onto Curbar Edge and Froggatt Edge. We drop down through Bee Wood to Froggatt Bridge. It is then a walk along the Derwent, back to Baslow, through Chatsworth to Heathy Lea. We do pass a pub where a stop could be made but please bring some water and snacks.
Total ascent 3734 m (1227ft), approx. 15.2 km (9.5 miles)
Should people want a shorter walk there is the option to take the footpath off Curbar Edge to drop into Calver and return via the river.
A longer option would be to continue along Froggatt Edge to Grindleford then back via the Derwent or a higher level return via White Edge.
