The Spanish word “posadas” translates to “accommodations” or “lodgings”, and, though it started in Spain, Las Posadasremains a yearly celebration throughout Mexico and has been for over 400 years. The tradition commemorates the difficult journey of Mary and Joseph as they traveled from Nazareth on their way to Bethlehem, searching for a warm place to stay. This event will recreate the procession of Mary and Joseph, starting at the UIW Administration Building. Parking can be found at Founders Hall, located at 4119 Broadway. Please arrive by 5:45 p.m. as the procession will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
Food and beverages will be provided for all attendees. Register today using the link!
