The annual Portsmouth Ride of Remembrance will be happening on Sunday 9th November 2025. This years ride will be set off and led by the Royal Navy Association Riders.
Leaving from Lakeside North Harbour at 10:00 sharp and will arrive at the Southsea Remembrance service approximately 1030 where you will be directed where to park.
This is a 50cc friendly ride and all forms of rides are welcome. Please obey all road laws. Ride in a staggered formation and do not overtake other riders.
Please abide by the road markings at Lakeside. Do not use the bus lanes on the route as you could receive a penalty notice.
This years route has been adjusted slighty from previous years - please be aware that short notice changes may be required:-
1. Leave North Harbour carpark on to Western Road/A27 heading towards Cosham.
2. At Portsbridge Roundabout, take 3rd exit onto London Road/ A3
3. Continue onto Northan Parade/ A3 which will pass the Mountbatten centre.
4. At the mini-roundabout, 1st exit onto Twyford Avenue/ A3 and proceed to Rudmore roundabout.
5. Proceed onto Mile End Road/ a3 slip road to Central Southsea/ city centre.
6. Continue on A3 to Commercial Road, then Market Way/ A3
7. Stay on A3 then pass the University of Portsmouth, following Kings Terrace/ A288
8. Turn left onto Southsea Terrace/ A288 and continue onto Western Parade.
9. pass Queens Hotel and follow the road. Do not turn into the car park!
10. turn south along Ave De Caen and head towards the D Day Museum.
11. Turn right onto Clarence Esplanade and follow the Marshalls direction to park on Serpentine Road.
Please Note: those arriving early will be asked to wait at the barrier by the D day Museum until the previous service is complete and cleared.
You will be directed where to park by our marshalls. (volunteers are always required for this role). All bikes will be asked to park across the road facing the North exit.
The RNA Riders have again kindly volunteered to lead the ride. They will start the ride at the correct time and will lead the route. They have volunteered for this role, please respect their position on the day and follow their directions. The Route will not be marshalled so you must stop at appropriate junctions, roundabouts and traffic signals.
Southsea Remembrance Service is led by the Royal British Legion Riders. It will commence at 1050. Please remain respectful throughout the service. No vehicle movements until the service is complete. all bike to be clear of the common by mid-day.
If anyone would like to lay a wreath on behalf of a club, group, organisation, association or individual please let us know in advance or approach the officials on the day.
