The annual Portsmouth Ride of Remembrance will be happening on Sunday 10th November 2024. Leaving from Lakeside North Harbour at 10:00 sharp and will arrive at the Southsea Remembrance service approximately 1030 where you will be directed where to park.
This is a 50cc friendly ride and all forms of rides are welcome. Please obey all road laws. Ride in a staggered formation and do not overtake other riders.
Please abide by the road markings at Lakeside. Do not use the bus lanes on the route as you could receive a penalty notice.
This years route is the same as previous years but please be aware that short notice changes may be required:- Lakeside North Harbour - Western road A27 - A3 - A3 Northern Parade - A3 Stamshaw road - A3 Mile End road - Church street - A2030 Holbrook road - B2151 Victoria road north - B2151 Victoria road south - B2151 Clarendon road - A288 South Parade them on to the Southsea Common via the eastern end (D Day museum end) of the Esplanade. Please follow the ride leaders.
You will be directed where to park by our marshalls. (volunteers are always required for this role)
The RNA Riders have kindly volunteered to lead the ride. They will start the ride at the correct time and will lead the route. They have volunteered for this role, please respect their position on the day and follow their directions. The Route will not be marshalled so you must stop at appropriate junctions, roundabouts and traffic signals.
Collections for the Poppy Appeal will be made on the day - please only give to our official RBL Riders collectors.
If anyone would like to lay a wreath on behalf of a club, group, organisation, association or individual please let us know in advance or approach the officials on the day.
