Try something different this Valentine's Day at The Art Foundry's Portrait Exchange. You and your partner will paint portraits of each other with instruction in simplified techniques that make portraiture approachable for beginners. This isn't about achieving photorealism—it's about observation, interpretation, and the experience of creating together. You'll learn basic facial proportions, colour mixing for skin tones, and approaches to capturing likeness and expression. The result is two original portraits that become meaningful keepsakes, imperfections and all. It's an intimate, often hilarious, always memorable way to spend time together.
Format: Single session (2 hours)
Skill Level: No experience required—complete beginners welcome
