Regular portrait drawing sessions at Pow Sequential Art Studio
Portrait Drawing Club is an informal relaxed drawing session open to all everyone. The session is hosted by Bren, an experienced artist, in his art studio in Kwun Tong. It's an untutored session, however advice and guidance is available to anyone who asks for it.
We won't be hiring a model, instead we'll all take turns to model for 15 minutes, while everyone else draws. So we'll be drawing 15 minute poses. This way everyone gets to draw.
Please bring your own materials. The session is facilitated in English however all are welcome.
Drawing differant people is a great way to practice drawing portraits, and this session is all about practicing drawing in an environment that is comfortable and relaxed.
Everyone is welcome to the session. If you're a beginner this is a great way to practice and make a start, and friendly constructive advice is available to you if you want it. If you're an experienced artist this is a great way to sharpen your craft and continue to practice with real people.
At the end of the session we'll all get the opportunity to look at each others drawings and socialise. Often seeing other peoples drawings is the best way to learn
The main entrance of the building will likely be closed on a Sunday. Walk down the entrance to the car park on the side of the building. There will be a side entrance on the right hand side. Walk up one flight of stairs to the first floor, then take the elevator to the fifth floor. Turn left out of the elevator and walk to the end of the corridor. You'll find the studio on the left hand side just before the stairway.
If the side door is closed then you can walk in through the carpark. Make sure you enter Block A, which is on the left hand side as you walk into the carpark.
