About this Event
Portobello Community Vision Workshop
This is a community-led workshop bringing together residents and all five South East Inner City councillors for a practical, non-political conversation about the future of the Portobello area.
The session will focus on:
- what kind of place we want Portobello to be in 5, 10 and 15 years
- the everyday council services that shape quality of life, such as:
- street cleaning and leaf collection
- trees and greening
- roads, footpaths and lighting
- safety and night-time impacts
- how residents and local businesses can coexist
Residents will work in small groups, using local street maps, to identify what’s working well, what needs attention, and what should be prioritised first. This is a solutions-focused discussion, not a political meeting.
The workshop is being run as a pilot, with the aim of developing a clear, phased set of priorities that councillors can bring forward with Dublin City Council, Gardaí, Partner Agencies and Local Businessess.
All residents are welcome. You don’t need any expertise — just lived experience of the area and a willingness to engage constructively.
