In this 8-week class students ages 14-19 will explore a variety of ways to create unique and personal illustrations and animations that are portfolio ready! This class is ideal for students interested in character design, concept art, world building, storyboarding, graphic design, comic/graphic novel creation, mixed-media, and digital animation and other mixed-media and digital art types. During class, students will work on illustrative drawing exercises, participate in group critiques, learn new digital software, and work on independent projects. The end result being increased confidence in a wide array of interesting art techniques, new knowledge of programs like Adobe Suite and Procreate, and 4-5 compelling and refined works of art for their portfolios. This class will prepare students for advanced classes such as Senior Project, live model courses, and college applications.
Class Dates: September 18, 2025 - November 6, 2025
