The Main Beach in Port Stanley is a long beach with beautiful sandy stretches along the northern shore of Lake Erie. The beach is one of only 23 in Canada to have earned the official Blue Flag status for its excellent care, including water quality, environmental responsibility and safety measures.
Also included on today's trip is a visit to the St.Thomas Elevated Park, Canada's first and only elevated park, joining similar structures such as The High Line in New York and the Promenade Plantée in Paris.
We do a photo stop at the life size "Jumbo" The Elephant Memorial. Jumbo was the star of P.T. Barnum's "Greatest Show on Earth" where, it is said, he brought in the largest crowds in the history of the circus. The City of St. Thomas dedicated a 38 ton statue as a tribute to the most famous elephant who ever lived.
Pickup locations in Scarborough, Mississauga, and York Mills.
