Celebrate Earth Day and join staff and volunteers of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and The Arts Garage of Port Clinton in making a difference in our community! The beach cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 1:00 to 2:00pm. We will meet at the lighthouse parking lot at Waterworks Park (205 E Perry St. Port Clinton) to fill out paperwork and walk along the beach, picking up any trash we encounter along the way. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Supplies such as gloves, bags, and trash pickers will be provided. Ages 17 and under require a guardian to be present.
After the cleanup, we will head over to The Arts Garage (317 W. Perry St. - you must provide your own transportation) from 2:15 to 3:30pm to play a water cycle game, participate in a community art project, and view the ROOTED exhibit.
No registration is required, and everyone is welcome to join for all or just part of the event! Call (419) 898-0014 with questions or for more information.
