Porchella 2026 — The Reverent Few’s 5th Annual SXSW Porch Party
Porchella started the way the best Austin traditions do . . . accidentally.Five years ago we swore off SXSW. Then the day before it kicked off, we caved, called a few friends, and threw together a last-minute front-porch show. About 100 people filled the lawn. The music spilled inside, it felt like a lost reel of Austin’s past, back to a time when music lived in backyards, garages, and basements. No wristbands or ropes.
Now, it's an annual tradition.
Hosted by us, The Reverent Few, Porchella we turn our Hyde Park front lawn into a no-frills, old-school Austin hang every year. We literally bring our living room out to the yard, rugs, couch, lamps, chairs. It's BYOB. Picnic-style. 15+ artists singing songs from the porch. No industry . . . just people being people, enjoying music together under the same sky.
Come as you are. Bring what you can. Tip the artists. ($25 suggested donation to Venmo @ReverentFew) Buy the artist's merch. Share a drink, a dish, a story. Bring a blanket, a chair, a friend, a puppy dog, a baby or come alone and leave with new friends. Be good to the neighbors. Be good to each other. Talk to someone you haven’t met yet.
This is more than music. This is a community. This is Austin.
