Join staff from the Great North Children’s Hospital for an insight into their amazing work — and let your little ones hop inside a real ambulance (subject to availability on the day)! We’re also excited to welcome the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and the Northumbria Police Cadets, who’ll bring fun activities and give families a fascinating peek into what they do to keep our communities safe.
This drop-in activity day is free to attend with no pre-booking required and is suitable for all ages… especially families!
Please note: Great North Children’s Hospital staff will stop for their lunch break at 12:30pm. Activities will resume at 1pm.
About the Great North Children’s Hospital:
The Great North Children’s Hospital is in Newcastle upon Tyne within the Royal Victoria Infirmary. It is one of only 14 major children’s centres in the UK.
With 245 beds, the Great North Children’s Hospital has the most extensive range of children’s services anywhere outside of London. It has special wards, operating theatres, outpatients’ and day-case suites, all tailored just for children.
