The HCAC is putting on a pop up art gallery in May!! We are looking for submissions from local artists for the show. If you, or someone you know, is interested please find the details below. The Hastings Community Arts Council (HCAC) invites visual artists to submit original work in any media for the HCAC Pop-Up Art Gallery. There is no fee for submissions, and artists may submit up to three of their pieces for consideration. The exhibition will take place May 15th-17th in the Schnase 1906 District located at 620 W 2nd Street, Hastings, Nebraska, with an opening reception on the evening of the 15th.
The HCAC is a non-profit whose mission is to nurture, promote, coordinate & celebrate arts, artists and culture in Hastings. Putting on this Pop-Up Art Gallery serves our mission and our community two fold. Firstly, the PopUp Art Gallery gives an opportunity for our fantastic local artists to exhibit and show their talents. Secondly, the Pop-Up Art Gallery gives the Hastings community a new opportunity to experience art.
The deadline for submission is April 31st. Accepted artists will be informed no later than May 7th.
All accepted pieces need to be delivered to the exhibition space between May 14th and 15th before 5pm, with instructions and hardware required for installation e.g., cleats, d-rings, pedestals, monitors and media players for video work. The Schnase 1906 District and the Hastings Community Arts Council hold no liability or responsibility for lost or damaged pieces.
Submissions can be submitted for consideration via email at [email protected]. Please submit images along with the titles of the pieces, materials, and dimensions. The pieces will be juried for selection by your fellow artists on the Hastings Community Arts Council Board of Directors.
