The humble pop tart debuted in the sixties and has been a kitchen cabinet staple ever since. Over the last decade, though, elevated, from scratch, pop tarts have shown up everywhere from high end restaurants to Taylor Swift’s favorite home-made gift to give.

For this class we’ll make, in teams of two, a pop tart pie dough for the class. While we wait for the dough to chill in the refrigerator, Chef Annie will demonstrate three fillings: homemade fresh jam, ganache and curd. Then we’ll roll out the dough, fill and crimp the edges. While the pop tarts bake we’ll make the pop tart glaze.

When the pop tarts come out of the oven we’ll finish them off with the glaze and sprinkles. Everyone will leave with six delicious pop tarts to please any palette, recipes, and a guidebook with tips and tricks guide for fillings and shortcrust

This class is an all ages event where skills will be discussed, but we’re going to emphasize the joy of baking and “ making over mastering” skills. Everything will be pre-measured and ready for your success! Come prepared for chit chat, music and baking.

You do not need to bring anything to class we have all the supplies including aprons and packaging for your finished product.

Our classes are held downstairs, which can be accessed from our back door on triangle lane. You’ll want to use 11212 Triangle Lane 20902 with your navigation.
