The Harris County Flood Control District (Flood Control) is now accepting construction bids for the Poor Farm Ditch Reconstruction Project. Construction is expected to begin later this summer. Over the next few weeks, the city will be reaching out to adjacent properties to discuss how they will be affected. These individual meetings aim to provide an opportunity for residents to meet with city representatives and receive specific details regarding the forthcoming construction.
On Tuesday, February 3, the city and Flood Control will host a Community Engagement Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at West University Place City Hall. During this meeting, Flood Control representatives will share design details and inform residents of the next steps on this project through construction.
While this is a Harris County Flood Control project, the city remains committed to providing West U residents with updates about this project as they become available.
