We are carrying out our annual Pond maintenance on The Green to reduce the overgrown Bull Rushes, removing the New Zealand Pigmy W**d & reducing some of the long Willow branches 🍃🦺🧤The ponds are an important habitat in the village & the ponds are frequently taken over with extensive Bull Rushes & the non-native species New Zealand Pigmy W**d.
We have a couple of pairs of waders for the main volunteers & suggest long wellies, warm clothing & waterproof gloves for anyone happy to help out ☺🧤
Toilets & hand washing facilities will be available a short walk away at the Village Hall 🙌
Please be advised this type of work is sadly not suitable for children under the age of 16, children over the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
See you by the Middle Pond on Saturday at 10am 🌿
