ABOUT LISA FIMIANI
Since becoming the inaugural Gottlieb Foundation Environmental Leadership Fellow in 2017, Lisa has continued her work with LMU’s Center for Urban Resilience, educating thousands of Angelenos about The Gottlieb Native Garden and leading programs at Ballona Discovery Park. She also represents CURes in community outreach, education, and research. With nearly four decades in Southern California, Lisa brings deep expertise in local wildlife through her leadership with Friends of Ballona Wetlands, long-term docent work, and service on Audubon California and Los Angeles Audubon Boards. She is a certified Master Gardener, Native Plant Restoration Specialist, and holds a BA in Mass Communications from SUNY Buffalo. Her driving purpose is to inspire a love of nature and promote harmony
