RESCHEDULED FROM SATURDAY MORNING DUE TO RAIN. NOTE CHANGE IN HOURS ALSO.For the 2025 edition of the Great Southeast Pollinator Census, Sustainable Newton will be partnering with Newton Trails to host a counting event on the Cricket Frog Trail between Spring Street and West Street in the pollinator garden planted by Newton Trails volunteers. We'll have everything you need to conduct your own personal census count -- including counting sheets, identification guides, and other references -- as well as refreshments to savor in the shade along the trail. To find the garden using your phone or GPS, use this Google Maps Link. (Note: We will also have a tent on the trail at Pace Street near the fire station.)
We hope you can join us in person for this "citizen science" event, sponsored by the University of Georgia Extension Service, that this year spans five southeastern states (Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama).
