Sanding your work piece is the mark of the finish line for majority of woodworking projects. It marks the same finish line with epoxy, but can prove to be a much more challenging process to produce a high quality finish. Scratches, pig-tails, or previous grit marks are so much more evident in epoxy than wood, even to the untrained eye. This class will help you understand the differences in technique and tools to go from producing a decent finish and a phenomenal one. On top of discussion about sanding and polishing epoxy, students will have the opportunity to sand and polish a board of epoxy with our tools, sand paper, and polish. Students are also invited to bring in their own sanders if they want to compare it to what we use in the classroom, but are not required to.
