About this Event
Join us for our next Policy With a Splash of Coffee, which will examine the impact that United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s Free Tax Prep initiative has on the community.
Free Tax Prep, which is funded by United Way and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) through its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, provides free tax preparation and filing services to people in our community with low-to-moderate incomes.
Corporate volunteers who participate in Free Tax Prep, such as EY team members, ensure eligible taxpayers receive the Earned Income Tax Credit (which marks its 50th anniversary in 2025) and the Child Tax Credit. The credits have lifted millions of Americans out of poverty.
Featuring:
- Jessica Miranda, Auditor, Hamilton County
- Matt Long, Director of Community Impact Program Management, United Way of Greater Cincinnati
- Annette Tice, Managing Director, Federal Tax Advisory Services, EY
- Jeremy Vaughan, Cincinnati Office Managing Partner and Global Client Service Leader in the Consumer Sector, EY
- Moira Weir, President and CEO, United Way of Greater Cincinnati
Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided.
Thank you to our sponsor, EY, for making this event possible.
