A police dog handler partners with a specially trained dog to support law enforcement, involving tasks like tracking suspects, finding missing persons, detecting drugs/explosives, and controlling crowds, requiring intense training, high fitness, and a deep bond with the canine partner for public safety and crime prevention.
Colin has been in the Police force for 32 years, but has spent twenty years as a dog handler, he has lost count of how many dogs he has worked with. He has worked with six dogs from their birth to the end of their careers with the force. Strong bonds are made and its hard to say goodbye to your 4 legged work colleagues, but they deserve their retirement too.
Colin works out of Central London but is a UK resource officer, so can be placed anywhere required, his only request is "if the biscuits are nice enough" Colin absolutely loves his job and admits he would do it for free, but has asked us not to tell my Commissioner ????
For anyone with concerns about dogs or has an allergy to dogs this is not the event for you, the dogs will be involved in the
event.
