Pole Photography Workshop by Saturated Images
Ready to boost your pole photography skills? Join our in-person Pole Photography Workshop led by Dan from Saturated Images.
Pole photography is relentlessly challenging genre with a steep technical learning curve - this course aims to lift some of the mystery make it easier to get in the door of this growing industry!
The Workshop:
This workshop will run from 12-4PM on Saturday 9th of May, and will feature experienced pole dancing instructors Jorja and Olive for a hands on session covering the many aspects of pole photography as Dan shoots it.
Everyone on the day will have opportunities to shoot both Jorja and Olive, and Dan and the crew will be demonstrating tried and true lighting scenarios (and accompanying camera settings) across a range of different pole moves and poses!

- Camera settings
- Studio lighting + environmental considerations
- Shot composition + posing
- Lighting Modifiers + Camera Filters
- Workflow for images post shoot
- Plus opportunity for questions throughout!

- Ballerina
- Lunge (+ capturing hair flicks!)
- Laybacks (+ variations)
- Glamour shots
- Butterfly into ayesha combo (important for techcnical shooting)
- Forearm stands
- Jade Splits
- Floor Splits
Requirements:
People need to have either a DSLR or a Mirrorless camera with ideally either a zoom lens or both wide and telephoto prime lens options (between 35mm and 70mm will be fine). If you're unsure, most kit lenses which come with cameras will be more than adequate!
At a minimum, I recommend people be comfortable putting their camera on full manual for ISO, aperture (F-stop) and shutter speed, as control of these elements are essential for creating the full "look."
If you're not sure - read on below for the camera bootcamp which I'll be running before hand on the same day!
We'll be using continuous LED lighting on the day (not flash) so a flash trigger will not be required.
This event is over 18+ only and limited to six spots to ensure that everyone gets time to shoot with the talent, practice their craft, and walk away with an SD card full of amazing raw images to play with.
Camera Bootcamp:
In the morning there will be an optional two hour camera bootcamp, the ultimate crash course in taking your camera off auto and making creative decisions with every feature of your weapon of choice.
