Join us at the Matthews Public Library Community Room on Saturday, July 25th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an exciting day filled with trading and fun activities! This free event is the perfect opportunity for families and lovers of Pokémon cards and/or Disney pins to come together and enjoy a fun experience. With giveaways and interactive events designed for all ages, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss out on this chance to explore new items, meet fellow traders, and maybe even win a prize. Mark your calendar and bring your friends and family for a memorable day at the library!-Due to limited space at the venue after max capacity is reached a 20-30 minute time limit will be set and new arrivals will be given a return time card. But no worries, you can always explore the awesome library while you wait and maybe even check out a few books!
-No cards? No problem! Every attendee will receive 1 free Pokémon card, a gift from me to you. (while supplies last, I have hundreds so I don't see this being an issue, but it needs mentioning)
-No pins? Well unfortunately I can't give everyone a free pin, but there will be giveaways for free Disney pins and Pokémon cards throughout the day (roughly every 15-30 min based on attendance), free for everyone, no fee to enter! Must be present to win.
-Free coloring sheets, stickers, trivia and games to play!
-If the immediate library spaces are full, there are several highly convenient free public parking zones just a short walk away:
Town Hall Lot: Located right next to the library.
Library Lane: Side street parking immediately adjacent to the building.
North Freemont Street Lot: A short walk from the library block.

-This is a free event hosted by myself, a small artist, broke grad student, and full time RBT, to have a fun community event. While it is free to attend, I am paying for the space out of pocket and all donations will be appreciated. I can not accept cash of any kind at the event but if you would like to sponsor a giveaway or donate an item to be given away it would be greatly appreciated, feel free to message me directly with any inquiries. Again no money, membership, donations, or sign up is required to attend or participate in this event.
-All pins and cards are 100% authentic, and feel free to ask any questions while there, and I will have some tips on how to spot fakes. I will have English, Korean, Chinese and Japanese Pokémon cards available. Official Disney Parks, Loungefly, FigPin, and other officially licensed Disney pins.
-I reserve the right to refuse any and all trades at my discretion. I will have an anything for anything card and pin trading bin/board available so you will still be able to trade something and participate.
-This is a fan hosted event. This is not an official Pokémon or Disney event. I do not represent or speak for the brands or companies mentioned, nor do they endorse/sponsor my business or beliefs in any way.
-This is not a library hosted event, it is an event hosted by a third party, ADHD Craft Corner at the library. Attendees must abide by all library rules. Library is not a sponsor, nor does it endorse any practices or points of view of the sponsors of the program.
-ADHD Craft Corner and The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library are not liable for any losses, theft, or damages to personal items. Please be mindful of your surroundings. Attendance at this event means you understand and will comply with all rules and regulations. The Library is not responsible for materials or equipment brought into the Library by individuals or groups.
-Can I dress up? Yes! As long as you follow library dress code. So no offensive clothing, bare feet, masks/face coverings, etc. Hats and ears are fine (I'll be wearing mine :)! Check out the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Website for official Rules and guidelines.
-Why are you doing this? I love collecting Pokémon cards and pin trading. But I don't always have the time or money to make a trip to Disney world or go to a card show. I also have many fond memories as a child of awesome fun events at the library. I figured the library would be a perfect fun, family friendly, safe space, to host a nice community event like this. If it goes well we might do it again!
-Stay posted for rules, first looks at pins and cards that will be there, and what giveaways we will have!
-Food such as packaged snacks (cookies, crackers, chips, etc.) and covered drinks are permitted. Please dispose of all trash in marked bins and appropriate waste receptacles.
-This is a family friendly event. Please be respectful to everyone. No harassment or hate speech of any kind will be tolerated. Remember, we are here to have fun!
