We are constantly reassured that organisational life is now kinder and more tolerant than was once the case. But is that necessarily the case?
Our collective voice is heard less and less - and our individual voices are occasionally ignored and way too often largely unheard. Do people find ways to offer a silent "no" to what is happening around them at work? Whether it's a unilateral renegotiation of the effort bargain or active sabotage, how does resistance show up in the supposedly democratic and deeply human modern day workplace, if at all?
This event offers a safe space for people to discuss their experiences of resistance at work as part of a three-session series in support of a collective inquiry. Are things as they seem - or are there things happening that suggest that all is not well in the notional workplace paradise that tends to be effectively policed by HR.
