Vabljeni na odprtje razstave 𝐙𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐢 𝐬̌𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐯 in pogovor z umetnico 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲-𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡.
🪡 Vsak šiv nosi pomen. Ni le sled niti v blagu, temveč zapis časa, prostora in občutka. Dela nastajajo postopoma – z uporabo naravnih barvil, pridobljenih v skupnostnih vrtovih in na nekdanjih industrijskih območjih severne Anglije – ter z dodajanjem improviziranih šivov, ki delujejo kot tihe, a vztrajne sledi spomina.
🌿 Projekt prepleta umetnost, dediščino in zdravje ter odpira vprašanja o tem, kako lahko tekstil povezuje skupnosti in ohranja zgodbe krajev.
Dogodek je brezplačen, pogovor bo potekal v angleškem jeziku.

You are warmly invited to the opening of the exhibition Stitching Praxis and a conversation with the artist 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲-𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡.
🪡 Each stitch carries meaning. It is not merely a trace of thread in fabric, but a record of time, place, and emotion. The works evolve gradually – using natural dyes sourced from community gardens and former industrial sites in the North of England – with improvised stitches added over time, acting as quiet yet persistent marks of memory.
🌿 The project intertwines art, heritage, and health, opening reflections on how textiles can connect communities and preserve the stories of places.
The event is free of charge and will be held in English.
