Loveland Poet Laureate Lynn Kincanon will read and present local poets Veronica Patterson, Marj Hahne, Courtney Collins, and Eve Bingham reading mid-century and original poems inspired by the fabulous New York/New York show. A selection of hard seltzer and other libations will be served while hearing the poet readings and taking in the art.
Enjoy free admission and the public opening of New York/New York in the Main Gallery. Frankenthaler, Sol LeWitt, Nevelson, Stella are just a few of the influential mid-twentieth century modern masters that anchor the collection of Loveland artist, collector and entrepreneur Doug Erion. This exhibition explores the discerning eye of an avid collector and academician, and expands upon the oeuvre of each artist in the collection with complementary loans of paintings, sculpture and prints from museums, galleries and private collections.
